I am a music producer, engineer, and drummer who specializes in drum production and mixing. No matter what the genre, I obsess over getting the perfect tones and performances out of the bands and artists that I work with. My job is to help you express emotion, energy, and honesty through your music. 

 

My own music background has shaped my specializations and values as a producer today.

Since the age of 13, I have been drumming and performing live with multiple bands and artists. After spending time in recording studios as the artist, I became intrigued with the role of the audio engineer/producer. I loved witnessing the artistic elements and creativity that the producer could bring to the table when making records. I then decided to study audio production at Hennepin Technical College and study music business at Minnesota State University Mankato.

 

While in college, I worked as an intern at recording studios and music venues around the Twin Cities. I also continued sharpening my drumming skills and learning as much as possible from my mentors. I’ve taken drum lessons from pro session drummers such as Steve Goold (Sara Barelilles, Owl City) and Jordan Carlson (Chris Hawkey, Kat Perkins), and I owe much of my success to the days of taking notes from these greats.

 

In the fall of 2016, I started an indie rock band called The Only. Since then, The Only has been pretty busy. Here’s a quick list of what we’ve accomplished so far:

 

Performed @ South By Southwest (SXSW) Music Festival in Austin, Texas

Opened for Foreigner, the legendary classic-rock band 

Received national radio airplay

Charted top 10 on multiple college radio stations

Toured venues across the Midwest

 

I am also a session drummer/work for hire drummer. I’ve played live and recorded with multiple artists. I’ve collaborated with Out of Line Record’s recording artist Villain Of The Story. I’ve also been fortunate to have played in many of their music videos, which have collectively reached millions of views.

 

In the spring of 2020, I started working as an intern at Helvig Productions. In July 2020, I was officially brought onto the team as a Producer/Engineer. Since then I've worked with over 80 artists in the Twin Cities area, many of whom I continue to work with on multiple consecutive projects. 

 

No matter what the project, I thrive off of helping artists weave authenticity and personality into their music. As an artist with experience onstage and off, I will help you create something that sings (and drums) the emotion of your own unique story.
